A neighborhood named after a split in the water at the north end and a reconnecting two and a half miles to the south, producing an island, is situated spectacularly in the Intracoastal Waterway. The homes and lots in the Island Estates neighborhood are located on either the Intracoastal Waterway (western side) or the Florida East Coast Canal (eastern side) (eastern side). Residents of this Island paradise enjoy security and seclusion thanks to a gated bridge across the Canal. Due to the minimal boat traffic on the Canal, homesites on the Intracoastal side of the Island are perfect for enjoying the passing boat traffic, but homesites on the eastern side offer more solitude. Island Estate is situated in a fully working community with everything you need, such as banks, grocery stores, a post office, restaurants, and pubs with live entertainment.
