Little Toot Dolphin Adventures

Little Toot Dolphin Adventure is committed to offering enjoyable and peaceful trips to both locals and visitors to Florida. Depending on where the dolphins are, our cruises last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes. The daylight trips last around an hour and a half, while sunset tours last about an hour and a half. In Clearwater Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico, guests of all ages will have incredible possibilities for close encounters with local dolphins. Many people are astonished at how near they may get to dolphins on boat trips, and everyone walks away with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Climb aboard the “LITTLE TOOT,” 47-foot historic tugboat, for an exhilarating dolphin-watching trip that includes a narrated tour of the Gulf of Mexico and Clearwater Harbor. Under the wide canopy, enjoy the air or work on your tan in the warm Florida sun. Remember, if you don’t see dolphins, your next trip is free. The Little Toot is the only dolphin boat that can go into the Clearwater Bay shallows as well as the Gulf of Mexico (weather permitting) to assure more dolphin sightings and greater dolphin contact. The tugboat’s form and power allow us to produce a massive wake. A wake that the dolphins can’t resist jumping into and playing in. Onboard, soft drinks, drinking water, wine, and beer are available. For your comfort, there is a restroom on board. The Little Toot has the advantage of being US Coast Guard approved and inspected, allowing it to sail in the Gulf of Mexico and the Harbor. The majority of vessels our size and freeboard (distance from the water) are limited to only traveling in the inner-coastal waterways. The Little Toot has been certified to cruise up to 3 miles off-shore and in the inner-coastal waterways, allowing us to find dolphins in their native environments. On our iconic tug boat, you will undoubtedly have a wonderful experience. With higher-than-required safety netting and enough seats, the Little Toot is safe for all ages.

“Our company, Little Toot Dolphin Adventure, has been in operation since 1998, although the tale dates back decades.” Tim Harris said. Tim Harris, the founder and skipper, developed a passion for the sea while serving in the US Coast Guard. Tim fell in love with Clearwater’s magnificent sunsets and the water that earned the city its name while stationed on Sand Key, Clearwater. Tim fell in love with the location so much that he decided to stay. He purchased a little boat after quitting the Coast Guard that had a lot of heart but required a lot of love. The Little Toot began service with hard labor and commitment, and has been chugging away for almost 20 years.
